Are You Eligible for a Bonus?

Do you meet the eligibility criteria in AR 601-280, Paragraph 5-6? 

 
Basic Reenlistment Bonus Determination Matrix

Criterion

 Yes No
Will you have between 17 months and 14 years of Active Service on your reenlistment date?   Determine your Active Service by subtracting your Basic Active Service Date (BASD) from your reenlistment date.    

Will you be in the A, B, or C bonus zone? Match your Active Service (determined above) with corresponding bonus zone.

  • If your Active Service is between 17 months and 6 years, you are in the A zone.
  • If your Active Service is between 6 years and 10 years, you are in the B zone.
  • If your Active Service is between 10 years and 14 years, you are in the C zone.
    

Are you willing to reenlist for a minimum of 3 years or enough years to age you into the next bonus zone?

Example: If you determined you are in the A bonus zone, because your Active Service is 2 years and 5 months, then you would have to reenlist for a minimum of 4 years to exceed the 6 year limit of the B bonus zone.

    
Is your rank and MOS listed on the Selected Reenlistment Bonus (SRB) Enhanced Program message?    
Are you a PFC, SPC, SGT, or SSG? If you are a SFC contact your Career Counselor to discuss current exceptions.    
Is your reenlistment date prior to the Selected Reenlistment Bonus (SRB) Enhanced Program message's expiration date?    
Will you serve the entire reenlistment term in the MOS or identifier for which you are receiving the bonus (excluding the deployed bonus)?    
Have you not already received a bonus for the same zone reenlisting? You cannot receive two bonuses in the same zone.    
Are you not reenlisting to take part in a commissioned or warrant officer program?     
Are you not reenlisting to change your MOS outside of the normal line of progression? Refer to DA PAM 611-21 (end of Chapter 10).
