Are You Eligible for the BEAR Program?
Do you meet the eligibility criteria in AR 601-280, Paragraph 6-5?

| Are you a PFC, SPC, SGT, or SSG? | ||
| Is your MOS listed as balanced (N/N) or over-strength (N/Y) on the Update to Reclassification In/Out Calls message? | ||
| Do you meet the school training and attendance requirements in DA PAM 611-21 (chapter 10) and AR 614-200 for a listed MOS on the BEAR Program message? | ||
| Has your commander personally interviewed and recommended you for participation? | ||
| Do you have at least 24 months of Active Service? If you are serving on an initial 2 year contract, do you have 12 months of Active Service? | ||
| Are you within 24 months of ETS? | ||
| If you are located OCONUS, are you within 24 months of your normal tour completion? |
