Are You Eligible to Affiliate?

Do you meet the eligibility criteria in AR 601-280, Paragraph 7-4?

Will you be able to attain 20 years of qualifying service for retired pay by age 60?

   
Are you a Citizen of the United States, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, America Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, or Republic of Palau? If not, are you a lawfully admitted permanent resident Alien in possession of a valid I551 card?    
If you are accepting a vacancy position for a MOS that you do not possess as a MOS, do you meet the trainability and educational requirements fo the MOS in DA PAM 611-21 (chapter 10)?    
If qualifying for the Army Reserve, all of your ASVAB scores must be 85 or higher. If qualifying for the Army National Guard, three of your ASVAB scores (excluding GT) must be 85 or higher.    
Do you have a physical profile (PULHES) with 1s and 2s? If you have any 3s or 4s, do you have a medical board letter finding you physically qualified?    
Have you passed your most recent height and weigh-in, or body fat percentage screening? If you are flagged for for weight control and being voluntarily discharged or released from Active Duty (REFRAD), you can request an exception.    
Do you not have a bar to reenlistment, more than 30 of AWOL or confinement, or a record of courts martial conviction during your current enlistment?    
Are you not separating under AR 635-200, chapters 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, or 18?
