Leader Testimonials
Maj. LaHavie Brunson is deployed to Iraq with 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, but made time to participate in a call while he was on leave with his family. He cited the quality of the soldiers with whom he serves and said he considers re-enlisting the soldiers serving under him as a very proud moment in his career.
“I don’t think there’s any degrading in the quality of soldiers that are coming today,” he said. “I think the ones that are coming today know what they’re up against. … They show their mettle in the fact that they commit during a time of war, and knowing that there is a potential that they will have to deploy.” Read full story.
“No bonus, no matter the size, can adequately compensate you for the contribution each of you has made and continues to make as a custodian of our nation’s defenses. Nor can any amount of money compensate you adequately for the sacrifices you make…or the burdens your loved ones face. And we certainly cannot put a price on the freedoms you defend…” – Army Gen. David Petraeus
